Her New Master

You will call me Master from now on,” Gabriel announced authoritatively. “You are mine and I will do whatever I please to you. Your body belongs to me.”

      I had to suppress the laugh that wanted to escape at his words. Who did this male think he was?

      “You will do as I say and follow all instructions I give you,” he continued. “If you do not, you will be punished.”

      What the hell? I interrupted his attempt to read me the riot act. “What gives you the right to demand anything of me?”

      Gabriel’s blue-eyed glare held me in place. An evil twinkle glinted there.

      Suddenly, his hand shot out and grabbed my arm. He pulled me in close, right up against his body. His lips met my ear and I suppressed a shiver. Was that from fear or from something else?

      Something was moving inside of me.  I felt the familiar stirring but it took me a moment to remember exactly what it was. It had been so long since I had felt this–my Wolf was waking up. She was once again prowling within me. She had been dormant for so long … Why was she finally waking now?

      Gabriel whispered heatedly in my ear. “The next time you interrupt me, I will take you across my knee and spank you. Do you understand?”

      My mouth fell open in shock.

      He couldn’t be serious.

      I barely knew this man. Sure, he was attractive with that masculine jawline, a pristine suit, and that mane of long dark hair, expertly styled. The problem was, he clearly knew he was hot shit. I wasn’t about to give this man what he wanted.

      “What are you talking about?” I blurted.”

You are to respond with ‘Yes, Master,’ or ‘No, Master,’ when I ask you a question,” he corrected me with a growl. As he finished his stern admonishment, he pushed me back up against the wall, effectively caging me in with his massive body.

      My Wolf started to freak. Wild things should not be caged.

      Gabriel’s hand shot out to grab my chin and pull my eyes up to meet his. I was terrified he would see my Wolf shining in my eyes. I realized in that second, I had to keep her a secret. Even from him … My new husband.
